About Artventory

The Artventory is a youth-led nonprofit based in the Greater Seattle region, dedicated to increasing accessibility to art by collecting and redistributing unused art, craft, and dance supplies. We expand our mission by providing accessible dance and art classes to our community. By connecting studios, schools, and communities across the area through an inventory of materials, we make the arts more equitable and sustainable for everyone.

Meet the Team

Angela Yao

Angela Yao is a sophomore student with a strong passion for dance and art. She began her dance journey at 6. Currently, she is a dance teacher at American Dance Institute and the leader of the dance group in 8loom. She strongly believes that art is the universal language that connects everyone and admires the power dance brings to expressing oneself. She wants to expand this experience to marginalized communities that aren't the center of the community's focus, making them feel loved and appreciated. Outside of her work with Artventory, she enjoys playing Guzheng, going on hikes, dancing, and exploring nature.

Lingying Shi

Lingying is a sophomore with a background in painting and has noticed the surplus of lightly used or unused art supplies from the various art studios she's been at. She believes that creativity should be accessible to everyone. Growing up in the greater Seattle area, she’s always loved exploring how art connects people and communities. Outside of her work with Artventory, she enjoys snowboarding, painting, and discovering local cafés with her friends.
